The solemn meeting dedicated to the day of knowledge of the South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after uzbekali Zhanibekov was held in the Turkestan Palace in Shymkent. Deputy Akim of Shymkent Sarsen Kuranbek, who took part in the ceremony, congratulated the applicants on the new academic year and noted that a total of 129 applicants received a grant from the mayor of the city. Then the chairman of the board of the University-Acting Rector Gulzhan Sugirbaeva made a congratulatory speech and awarded the best workers with letters of thanks. First - year students were given a golden key and a student ticket, and an oath ceremony was held. The event was accompanied by a concert program with the participation of honored guests. The bright star of the Kazakh stage Adilet Zhaugashar gave the young people a good mood. Also, the pride of our university performed on the first stage of the new academic year. It should be noted that this year our golden nest will start the new academic year with 8063 students. In total, 2201 students were enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year. Among them, 1015 were state educational grants, 129 were holders of grants from the akimat of Shymkent, 83 gold badges, 193 certificates with honors, 10 Masters of Sports Of The Republic of Kazakhstan, 1 International, 13 winners of the Republican Olympiad and 30 winners of IELTS certificates.
